The property is split into three levels. Guests will be staying on the first one, in a separate and absolutely independent situation from the rest of the house. Brand-new bed and mattresses, literally bought in November 2024. It is a highly comfortable bed, besides being recently bought. The lower part of the bed is a bit like the Japanese style, which saves space and, in a sense, it's quite original for Italy. I'm pretty sure that guests will enjoy it. There is a clean and private bathroom inside the room. Cleaning products are available at any time for free. They are placed just outside the door, inside the orange curtain.
For hygienic as well as sanitary reasons, the washing machine is not provided and food is not allowed in the room. For longer stays, however, there is a very close self-service laundry, at a just 10-minute walk from the property, which complies with national health safety regulations. This is located in Via Filippo Corridoni, 20. The name is Wash Dry & Fold Service - Station 20.
If you choose this room, it means that you take a break from hostels. If you don't choose it, that means that you are going to sleep with a good number of total strangers in a dormitory in town. It is up to you. But if I were you, I'd choose to have more privacy and safety, which is why I have created this room for you guys, being myself a well-travelled person.
A 5-10 minute walk from the central train station and the Alibus stop to and from the airport pick-up. The Stesicoro metro stop is literally 3 minutes away from the property. Catania international nightlife area, bars and restaurants of Via Gemmellaro and Via S. Filomena, is nearby, a 5-minutes walk. Museums and all the tourist services are all nearby. The Lidl supermarket is within 300 metres on foot. You've got everything within reach, inside a short distance.
Choose Room in the Historic City Centre instead of noisy hostels, dirty rooms, or far-away places. Choose it because the host is a fantastic person too. She speaks fluent English, Italian, Spanish,

GGuest UserThe house and its location was great. Walking distance to major hubs which made it convenient to go to other cities. Our host Igor was a great personality. During our 6 nights of stay he was very responsive to all our needs.
All his suggestion of restaurants and places were top notch.
We look forward to revisiting B&B Marcello’s casa to complete our Sicily tour.

Outstanding
We had a very pleasant stay at B&B Liberty 900 in Catania. The host was very welcoming, awaiting our late arrival at almost 10PM and still taking the time to explain to us everything about the room and giving us helpful tips about our stay (where to eat, where suitable locations for beach days would be, etc). She even accommodated an earlier breakfast hour for us because we mentioned we had booked an early morning guided tour to the Etna volcano for the next day. The room we stayed in (Plaza) is very spacious, with a high ceiling that is decorated in a turn of the 20th century style pattern, The AC unit is strategically placed so as to not face the bed directly, yet still provide an efficient cooling of the room. The location is within a 10-15 min walking distance from the start of the historical city center. There is a bar just next to the location and there is a grocery store 2-3 mins away. There are plenty of paid (blue line) parking spots nearby and even a private parking facility in close vicinity. The breakfast is a typical Italian one, but the morning cappuccino, croissant and scrambled eggs were a welcoming delight. It is also a very good choice to have the breakfast in the interior garden which provides a very pleasant ambiance. Overall, the stay at Liberty 900 exceeded our expectations and we are happy to recommend it.

GGuest UserThe service staff are very kind, enthusiastic and help solve various problems! Since the flight arrives in the middle of the night, contact the hotel to book the pick-up beforehand, and the room will be reserved until midnight. The driver who picked up the airport was also very kind. Even in the cold midnight, I felt that the driver warmly welcomed you and assisted in getting on and off the luggage! Hotel location is located in the city center, restaurants, department stores are nearby, walking distance! I was very surprised to find that the Christmas market was right next to the hotel. I was very happy. The mood becomes more beautiful! Will visit again next time

GGuest UserWe learn this structure thanks to friendly advice... And never recommended more. The TH Luxury Central has been open for a few months. Super technological, very clean and profumeful (especially the corridor and the bathroom towels I literally loved), all is well-treated in the minimum details. The owner, Mrs. Rossella, and the manager of the structure, Mrs. Deborah, I have never met her because, as I said, it is a super-technological structure. The check in is made with Deborah via whatsapp and phone (and I can assure you that it is very kind and extremely available). The lady opens both the door of the palace, the apartment (which is located at 5 floor with lift) and the room. Once the room is open, a magnetic card will be found on the comforter, which will help open all doors independently throughout the living. A beautiful girl who takes care of the cleaning of the structure is welcomed in the morning, very kind, educated and precise in her work. The structure is located in the middle of the market in Fera o' Luni, and this gives the opportunity to get a little bit of a bit with shopping. The evening (we have been during a weekend) there is a little confusion given by the passage of the cars parking on the surrounding streets to go to the catalan move that is a step (the rooms are faced on the road but with the closed window the noise is minimal). The rooms have a small terrace where you can enjoy the view of the Etna. Breakfast service is not offered, but it is not a problem because it is under the structure, The TH Luxury Central is easily accessible from the airport via the Alibus ship, which stops at 200 mt (we still prefer to rely on a NCC). We're not looking forward to returning!

These rooms (not suites) are in an excellent location. 10/10 In the old building, they are all ( I think there are 6 or 7 rooms total) on the 3rd floor and luckily enough there is a private elevator especially made for the rooms. Breakfast is served in the room and they explain that it is ”Italian breakfast” meaning that it consists of one tea or coffee and one croissant or a local sweet. Served in a very small tray with no extra plates or napkins quite difficult to enjoy. The rooms are as pictured in the photos on the hotel's site. Perfect mattresses, and excellent Wi-Fi. They have given great importance to design (of which they seem to be very proud of..) which is nice but according to my personal experience has quite a few ”mistakes” which make one's stay a bit not so perfect..For example (in my room) on one side of the bed there was a big gap which was quite likely to fall in, especially at night. Also, the lighting was not enough.. Some rooms have no view at all, luckily I chose one with a view which of course was more expensive. !! The worst part is the entrance of the building which is simply ...awful and dirty . It is a sort of internal small yard as most of the old buildings in the historic center have, but this one was one of the worst. Garbage was all around and even the entrance to the private lift was in total decay. As a result, I do not find a good value-for-money relationship. P.S When I booked the room they gave me a non-refundable price which I accepted and paid since it was just a week before my arrival. 2 or 3 days later there was an explosion at the Etna volcano and the news was all around the media in my country so I thought I could postpone my trip for a couple of days. So I called them and asked, if I could change the dates to just a few days later always according to THEIR availability. They simply refused telling me that it was NOT refundable. I explained that I was NOT asking for a refund but a change of dates always according to the dates that suited THEM. But they did absolutely NOTHING not even trying to be polite. Of course not wanting to lose my money I went, but I found that not only unprofessional but also rude.!!

The owner was very friendly and super nice! All the staff goes above and beyond if something is needed, amazing people! Loved our stay and we will definitely be back!

GGuest UserA beautifully simply appointed boutique guesthouse on the corner of Piazza Stesicoro and Via Etnea. Entry is up the staircase off the entry door on Via Neve - despite initial impressions (Via Neve is a bit of an alley way) and the the stairs to the second floor (I believe a lift is planned later this year) it was a delightful stay. Fabio and Daniel couldn't have more accommodating (Fabio even assisted me in sourcing good Sicilian wine!). Room was spacious and modern and housekeeping was excellent. A simple breakfast is taken at one of the cafes on Via Etnea - more than adequate＞ Location is great with Metro nearby and main train station accessible by Metro or a 10-15 minute walk. Duomo area 600m. Lots of eateries - recommend seafood in one of the numerous restaurants surrounding the famous Pescheria. Lots to see and do - recommend a trip to Taormina (train €12 return). AAnonymous UserThe location is very good, really near from the tourist attractions. It is also surrounded with restaurants and bars. The big local market is just right to the next street. The neighborhood may look odd from the beginning but it is safe. The bed is comfortable. This is a free breakfast place, but the breakfast options are the easy to go ones. The owner doesn’t speak English but can work with google translate. He also offers a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel for €20. The walls are so thin so you can hear everything outside of your bedroom. This is most likely ideal for young people as the place is in front of different bars, so, it is very loud during the evening until 1 in the night.

Prima di iniziare la vacanza pensavo che, una volta giunti al termine, avrei potuto scrivere una recensione positiva o almeno mediocre ma purtroppo, ad oggi, durante il viaggio di ritorno mi trovo a scrivere questa recensione davvero da zero stelle ( e sono stata gentile!). Mi sono recata in questa struttura per una piccola vacanza della durata di due notti e tre giorni, previa prenotazione effettuata tramite agenzia di viaggio all'incirca un mese prima. Al nostro arrivo, troviamo la porta chiusa. E già qui iniziamo male, dato che la struttura in questione era stata avvertita del nostro arrivo attorno alle ore 22. Quando, dopo alcune telefonate ai numeri fornitici, finalmente ci risponde la responsabile della struttura. E ci dice che la nostra camera non c'è, che hanno provato a contattarci per fare una cancellazione della prenotazione in quanto erano andati in overbooking ( NESSUNO MI HA CONTATTATA TELEFONICAMENTE O TRAMITE MAIL E NEMMENO L'AGENZIA DI VIAGGIO È STATA CONTATTATA) e, in quanto, non erano riusciti a contattarmi hanno detto che non sapevano se effettivamente saremmo arrivate o meno. Dopo di ché, ci dice che se vogliamo restare ha a disposizione un unica camera di ”scorta” collocata nel piano interrato e quindi senza finestre se non una solo nel bagno; E che la mattina seguente ci avrebbe sistemato nella camera normale. Noi, data l'ora ormai tarda e la zona poco raccomandabile dove si colloca il b&b, abbiamo deciso di accettare comunque la stanza senza finestre e la mattina spostarci nella camera normale. Entrando nella stanza senza finestre si può sentire subito un odore molto sgradevole quasi di fognatura, le lenzuola e asciugamani erano le cose più pulite. Nei servizi offerti è scritto che viene fornito sapone, shampoo come in tutti gli hotel normalmente.. e invece riuscire ad utilizzarli sarebbe stato molto bello, quel poco di sapone che era presente era contenuto in un portasapone a parete arrugginito e prettamente bloccato.. Per non parlare poi della doccia : piastrelle staccate, maniglie arrugginite. La mattina ci rechiamo al piano superiore, una specie di mansarda, per fare colazione e anche qui servirebbe un bel velo pietoso: caffè solubile o macchinetta a pagamento (stile fabbrica) brioches per lo più confezionate e quelle da pasticceria forse avevano un paio di giorni; ruggine sulle posate messe a disposizione per la colazione, succhi in caraffa senza nessuna etichetta di gusto o scadenza (direi a norma di regolamento haccp la prossima volta) ; il salume in frigorifero anche questo fresco forse di qualche giorno e comunque a vista di scarsa qualità. Decidiamo di sederci e troviamo tutte le tovaglie con almeno una macchia di sporco..ma d'altronde forse è il lato che contraddistingue di più questo b&b. La mattina andando a chiedere ulteriori spiegazioni presso la reception ci viene fornita, una nuova versione di spiegazione per la nostra sistemazione, a parer del personale credibile, in cui ci dicono di aver dovuto sis
