We were heading to a friends in Norfolk & staying Saturday night so I went on the travelodge site & got a great deal for the Friday night. We were greeted by an asian lady who was helpful & friendly at the same time. We were in are room after a few minutes, the room was spotless & it even had the heating on so it was warm on entry. There’s a garage across the site & it has a well stocked M&S, plus a Starbucks next to that. If you turn left out of the garage there’s a chip shop a 100 yards on the left. If you keep walking or driving in to acle there’s pubs & takeaways or you can have food delivered to the hotel. If you turn right on the A47 heading to Norwich, there’s a MCDonalds ten minutes drive on the left of the roundabout, which is handy as there’s no hot food in the hotel. If you turn left on the A47 you’re 9 miles from Great Yarmouth with the fun fair & seaside amusements. The hotel is being refurbished next spring which it needs & it will bring it up to the standards of other travelodge,s room wise, but to be fair my room was in a good condition with everything working as it should & it wont be long before we’re back in 2025. I’ll be back.

Pub restaurant and private hotel in a rural location, close to a surprisingly busy main road and a short drive away from the pleasant small town of Aylsham. Stayed only one night but hope to be able to go back some time. Had a superb meal in the restaurant, waiting staff very polite and attentive. Room with a view across green fields was large, clean and newly-decorated as was the en-suite which had a powerful shower in a large cubicle. Bed was comfortable, slept fairly well although the duvet was a little too thick and the night not quite warm enough to sleep without covers! Kept the window open, therefore the noise of the passing traffic was quite evident but not objectionable. Our stay was beautifully rounded-off with a generous and very tasty full English breakfast with locally-sourced sausages and bacon.
