The location is very good, in the city center, near to the lagoon, super market, Rusty’s market, the Fleet Terminal. So it is very convenient for your activities. The downsides are the cleanliness and the hostel bar. Kitchen is not clean, badly equipped, not properly lit, resulting in guests having dinners in the dark. Guests leave many uncleaned dishes overnight, with cockroaches running over. There are no sign indicating rooms numbers whatsoever, whereas some rooms are technically hiding behind doors. Many guests having difficulty finding their rooms, including myself. I have seen at least three persons going un and down the corridors several times before finding the room number. The hostel bar’s music is extremely loud and this until 2:30 am. So every night I sleep very badly.

I left another local hostel after one night as it was just too noisy - I wanted a place for a good rest so that I could really enjoy all the amazing day trips nearby. This place did just that! I booked a single occupancy room (shared bathroom) on the day and stayed for 4 nights - great value for money and really did the job - I had a perfect rest here. Other guests were of all ages and were friendly. The hostel was very quiet at night and put on some optional entertainment (I chose not to partake and it didn’t disturb me at all). The pool area is small but great! Big kitchen area to cook in and store food. The staff were great at helping me book day trips and the location is fantastic for these (I did the Great Barrier Reef, karunda skyrail and daintree trip from here and the location was perfect). I would definitely stay again!

The location is good, right next to Beach Road, the sea is out. Seeing the lives of the locals, there is a Woolworths supermarket 800 meters away. Pick-up and drop-off at a reasonable time within reasonable time. Health needs to be improved, overall recommendation

A male front desk gave this HOSTEL a lot of points, and he kindly provided a variety of information. Including SHUTTLE from HOSTEL to the airport, if you book on the official website 24 hours ago, it is 6 knives, and if you book within 24 hours, 15 knives. Includes bus information to KURANDA. Wait. Note: Take your quilt downstairs when you check out. The internet is great. Going to them in the summer is winter, the temperature is right. The city is small. The bus is inconvenient. Preparing in advance can save some money.

First of all crazy good location. This is right where you want to be in Cairns When taking in consideration that this is a hostel it is very good. We had a private room with bathroom for 2 nights Very clean and modern, with great Wi-Fi connection. The hostel also had special deals at local bars and restaurants. We got a coupon for dinner and a drink for 12$ at the local Irish pub. And here we are even talking big and good portions of food and wine… They had a big kitchen and a nice terrace with a great view Can recommend this place even if you are not the typical hostel type

Thanks to the strongest Wi-Fi in all areas, I only had to use minimal communication during my trip, so I didn't experience any inconvenience. Since I don't have a physical key, I use an app called GOKI to unlock all doors via Bluetooth. Breakfast includes basic bread items such as bread, cereal, yogurt, milk, coffee, and jam. The staff will line you up at the buffet from 7:30-10:00. Wash your own cutlery. There is no fresh fruit available, so I recommend buying it at the supermarket one or two doors down from the building. The location is excellent and the price is reasonable. Towels are the same as Australian locals and are not changed daily, so pay extra if you need them.

I got a private room here for a few days. The staff is courteous, the cleanliness is quite good, the rooms are a bit small, the climate works at the top. Prices ok, excellent location both for going out in the evening and for visiting the surroundings in the morning
