Outstanding
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful experience in this B&B. The room was clean, which echoed with all the reviews here. You could experience the passion and perseverance of the owners in keeping everything not only neat and tidy, but amazingly dustless and spotless! If you look at the mirror, and the tissue box in the toilet, the level of shine and reflection is at its top! The bed was big and comfortable. The design of the room was modern. Tea and coffee are available inside the room.
Breakfast comprised of a wide variety of fresh fruits chopped into small cubes and delicately put into little cocktail glasses, all sorts of bread, yoghurt, ham, spreads. Alex would welcome all customers warmly with offerings of coffee, tea and eggs that were made by him. I saw on reviews that he made perfect eggs and it was really true! The fried eggs that I ordered were prepared with crispy edges, what a morning delight!
All the details and passion ( and the amount of time and dedication one can imagine) that this family put into this B&B deserve a 5-star rating. From its hardware to attitude, this is the best I have ever experienced as a tourist.
Salzburg was a special part of our European Trip, and Villa Flockner was everything we had hoped. Martin and all his team were welcoming and friendly, and offered us plenty of help with any local information, along with a friendly chat. This family owned and run villa is so clean and new looking. The rooms are extremely comfortable with all the modern amenities you could need. It's very close to the centre of town, only 15 mins walk to Mirabellpatz, but so quiet, making for a good nights sleep. City buses stop right outside the Villa making it even easier to access the city. They also have off road parking if you are driving while in Austria. We were lucky enough to have their family room which had beds for us and our two children, with a sliding door so we could be separate from them after they had been put to bed. Breakfast each morning was wonderful! A selection of European cheeses, meats and fresh bread, pastries, various types of eggs, crepes, cereals, fresh fruit, juices and coffees. Nothing more was needed, but if you did need something else, it was never a problem. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait to come back to Salzburg. The only very small negative for us was the fridge in the room wasn't great or very cold. However as soon as we raised this with the owner, he did look into it straight away for us. Super service!
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay. Frank, at the front desk, was extremely helpful. He made our stay great. The breakfasts were good and we loved the size of the apartment room. The location was super convenient. We recommend Pension Elisabeth without reservation.
GGuest UserWe stayed for 4 nights at beginning of February on a breakfast included deal which was excellent value. Hotel was quiet but only a five minute walk from the railway and bus stations. Very convenient as we had no car for this trip. Touristy part of Salzburg a 10/15 minute walk. All staff at hotel very friendly and helpful. Room had kitchenette (we had only booked a simple double) so that was quite a handy, unexpected feature. Modern bathroom, powerful hot shower, extremely comfy beds. Breakfast buffet was beautifully presented in a pleasant dining room, and with plenty of choice. Loved the contraption for boiling your own eggs!
GGuest UserThe hotel itself was good. The room was small but very well planned, it had air conditioning, kettle, safe, shower gel etc. - everything you would need. The bed even had a soft support for your head when you are sitting in the bed. You had to check-in in the hotel nearby (2 mins walking, no more), but for us it was no problem. After that, you just use lust card to unlock outside and your own room door. The administration was very helpful as well (especially the blonde girl, pay her a bonus!). Finally, the sound isolation was good and the windows were sound proof. Now the drawbacks. Even though the room was clean and tidy, towels were changed, but cleaners weren't doing their job properly. Because there is a kettle in the room, tea and coffee packs were left the first 3 days, but the 4th and 5th day they weren't left. We could've bought them, but the stores work only until 8 PM, so it was too late when we came back. The 3rd day she left tea and coffee packs, but didn't leave paper cups and even threw away old paper cups that I left on my table. So had to go to registration and they gave us proper cups with spoons. The cleaner didn't put new bottle of liquid soap, so had to ask administration for this one as well. The cleaner was lazy enough, that the empty bottle of soap wasn't taken out (you can't do it by yourself, I tried). On the final morning we ran out of shower gel (unfortunately, I already started showering), and we almost ran out of toilet paper, because cleaner couldn't add the second one as is usual). So overall it can be a perfect hotel, but nuances listed above make it much worse that it is worth it. I'd be back again if I knew the problem with cleaners is sorted.
Our family of five stayed here and found the property to be an excellent value, particularly as options for groups larger than four can be limited. It's an older, but charming property. The room included three single beds and one double bed, all of which were comfortable. Street parking was simple, the staff was helpful and on-site laundry was a bonus (small extra fee). The hotel is near a bus stop and the neighborhood offers convenient cafes, bars and restaurants.
