I stayed here for 2 weeks, and I enjoyed myself immensely! I mostly keep to myself and don’t go out, as I was just here to relax and unwind. However I felt very safe and comfortable with my stay. The room is clean and smells amazing! There was a cute glass balcony which was pleasant as I could step out a bit and enjoy the great weather. The bathroom was stocked, I had a good selection of teas and coffees. I was very satisfied and impressed with my room selection. Although I think next time I will choose the apartment hotel since I always bought my own food 😄. They have a free shuttle to and from Nelson Mandela Square every hour which I utilized. They have a pool which I could see from my balcony and a gym that was opposite my room, however I did not utilize either of those facilities. All the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place

Esta foi a nossa segunda estadia neste hotel, pois a sua localização é muito conveniente, e tivemos mais uma experiência maravilhosa. Os funcionários foram incrivelmente simpáticos e nos fizeram sentir bem-vindos desde o momento da chegada. O nosso quarto estava impecável e bem conservado, criando um ambiente confortável para a nossa estadia. As camas eram especialmente aconchegantes, garantindo uma ótima noite de sono.
Um dos pontos altos continua a ser o serviço de transporte gratuito de/para o aeroporto, que funciona a cada 15 minutos e é muito pontual. Tornou a nossa viagem para o aeroporto muito tranquila.
O pequeno-almoço estava delicioso, com uma grande variedade de opções. No geral, tivemos uma ótima estadia e recomendamos vivamente este hotel pela sua limpeza, conforto e funcionários atenciosos.

Perfect layover hotel, so close to terminal A, only about 8 minutes in the free shuttle they provided the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner was really good, especially the springbok carpaccio!
I’d recommend it to anyone needing to be near the airport.

Excellent location. In and around the hotel, there are a lot of delicious restaurants. The highway is easily accessible. The bedroom was nice and tidy. Would return to stay there.

It was great to stay!
Very comfortable, clean and spacious than I expected. Especially, the breakfast was amazing. Had many options to take than I thought. Hot and cold foods and different kinds of cheese, breads, jams and even smoked salmon sashimi!
Also, they have upgraded my room into king bed room. The room was clean and big enough. Amenities were soap, body lotion and 3 in 1 bodywash(+shampoo and conditioner).
If you want to stay quiet room, I would recommend the 1st floor.
The parking in the basement made me feel more safe.
Definitely I'll recommend to others and will come back!

Eu pedi um quarto para encher a paisagem urbana.Na foto, você não Pode ver a cidade, só Pode ver o telhado fora.O cordeiro não VAI Manter o estado fechado e abrir-se sozinho.O dragão de água está completamente relaxado.Eu FIZ vídeo, MAS não posso adicionar vídeo a esta plataforma.

My husband arrived early at the hotel (7am) , tired and exhausted after a long flight and staff were not helpful with getting him into the room atleast a little earlier than the check-in time or offered any other available room , he was told to wait until 2pm to check into his room .
Also , he asked for a halal meal when calling room service and they just told him they don’t have anything , instead of offering an alternative .
I really hope that in future , the service of this hotel would be more helpful .

VVeleI had the best time just relaxing at the hotel . The staff were very friendly and because it was my birthday they upgraded my room and gave me free breakfast . I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back .
Room services was also really great and the views were amazing .

GGuest UserThis is a great hotel , in a good location. The check in was smooth, room service is a bit slow though. House keeping is excellent, I like them so much . The facility is great but I didn’t like the pool area , is always packed with so many people. Some of them weren’t even guest at the hotel . Which make it a bit unsafe to leave your belonging just lying around. I mean you have to pack up everything every time you go to the loo. The pool area had no space to sit and chill on especially in the afternoon. The bar takes a bit long to prepare drinks . The waitress/waiter were amazing. I just didn’t like the check out time . 10 am it’s too early and they weren’t keen on extending with just one hour . I don’t think I’ll book again . Safety issues. If other people didn’t have that much access to the hotel I wouldn’t mind staying there again.

The only thing is if you’re booked into a room further away, you must know that if it is raining you have to walk outside and to the entrance to fetch your food orders or get your uber — only downside.

This hotel is near East Rand Mall. The counter staff told us that it is unsafe to walk across the street and advised us to take either Uber or hotel's van. If you are traveling in a group of 4 or more people, it is cheaper to get the hotel's van (80 rand one way) instead of Uber

Holiday Inn was full so this was a close alternative.
Had amenities but their outlets were in the kitchen far from the bed? Not very business traveller or relaxing traveller friendly.
I booked a queen studio which had a kitchenette which was great for warming food etc. Decor a bit tired so could do with some love. But apart from a very dirty bottle left on the balcony it was clean.
Location is excellent for Rosebank Mall even if you have to play chicken to cross the road 😆
Customer service was severely lacking. I thought Radisson Red staff were slow but at least they were always there. You can't call frontdesk . It's all QR codes and WhatsApp. Late check out would be the cost of another night R1980. Staff had a, I dunno attitude and werent very helpful. 1 security guard and 1 young lady in the lounge are the only exceptions. Outlets in the lounge and office were local only and I had to really ask to get where I could buy adapters / converters.
Next time I'll go elsewhere. They're not customer focused enough for me.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and while it’s not a five-star property, the experience was genuinely pleasant overall. The biggest highlight was definitely the staff, they were incredibly friendly, warm, and enthusiastic. From check-in to check-out, they made us feel welcome and valued, which truly makes a difference.
They also recommended a restaurant nearby, and it turned out to be an excellent suggestion. The food was delicious and the service there was outstanding as well.
The rooms are well-equipped with practical amenities, including a microwave, stove, washing machine, and even two bedrooms in one unit, which makes it very convenient for families or longer stays.
That said, there is room for improvement when it comes to hygiene and overall maintenance. There was a slight musky smell in parts of the hotel, and the cleaning standards could be improved.
Despite this, we genuinely enjoyed our stay, mainly because the staff’s kindness and professionalism really stood out. With some attention to maintenance and cleanliness, this hotel has the potential to be even better.

The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere for our stay. The beds were especially cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep.
One of the highlights is still the complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, which runs every 15 minutes and is very punctual. It made our travel to the airport hassle-free.
Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and attentive staff.

PPifpafExcellent stay at the Southern Sun in Rosebank. From the reception to the check-in, to the installation in the room, everything went very well. The staff (maintenance, bar, restaurant, reception and security) all worked with a smile. The room was very well equipped and clean. The breakfast was plentiful and very varied. The restaurant had excellent food and very good wine. A special thought to the staff who opened the gate at the back of the hotel every day for us, making it easier for us to leave for the Rosebank lung. The swimming pool, although cool, was always welcome at the end of the day. Even if some minor work was underway in the hotel, we were never inconvenienced. We will definitely be back.
A big congratulations to the hotel and all its staff. We will definitely be back.
