this is my second stay here..will always be my frst choice if i’m in penang..love the hospitality,cleanliness and the strategic place…easy access to the beach and many choices of food nearby..

The overall hotel experience was excellent. There are two shopping malls nearby, and the hotel’s pool and jacuzzi are great. The room lighting is just right, and the in-room dining is reasonably priced. The bathroom amenities are from Elemis, which is a nice touch. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

I am very pleased with the service given by the receptionist. They are welcoming and very friendly. They had been going an extra mile for my birthday during the stay and it made my day. 🥰 Thank you so much again for the hospitality and for the upgrade. The room is spacious and have all the basic amenities. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve is adding more variation to their channels on the TV and all the lift need to be available during peak season since it is a hassle to wait for the lift and missed out a few times just because of the lift is full. However I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Penang for all the other reasons ☺️

I just stayed for one night. Which was enough for me. Be aware this is not part of the official Rainbow Resort Hotel. Upon seeing my confirmation, the receptionist told me my room was an Airbnb. The building is a hotel as well private rooms that are rented out. The room itself was very spacious, 70 sqm with one bedroom and a living space. It had obviously been repainted recently (it smelt a fresh paint) so the walls were clean. Air conditioning and basic amenities were provided. The building itself, has seen a lot of wear and tear. If you’re on a budget and want a spacious room it will meet your needs. For the price I think it’s quite reasonable if you’re there for a short stay. The hotel is next to a beach, and a swimming pool downstairs. There a few restaurants across the road.

Misleading and Inconsistent Children’s Breakfast Pricing - Prior to my stay, I referred to the TRIP website, which clearly stated that the breakfast price for children was RM44.80 per child. However, on the morning of 26th December 2025, I was charged RM56.00 per child for my 6-year-old. When I questioned this discrepancy, the manager claimed that the updated price was already reflected on the website. This was not accurate at the time of my booking, and I was not informed of any price change in advance. I have screenshots of the pricing information as reference. This situation was misleading and caused unnecessary inconvenience.

It was a wonderful stay! My family and I really love the hotel. From check in until check out, everything was smooth. Extra credit to the team and staff. We had a stay there to celebrate my husband’s birthday, they helped out with the decorations of the room. It was so delightful.

This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!

I stayed on high floor and was able to enjoy a beautiful city view from the room. The room was well-equipped with convenient facilities such as hangers to hang our towels and an LG brand water dispenser where you can choose the temperature you prefer for drinking. Overall, everything was good and comfortable. The only thing worth mentioning is the parking fee. Every day have to go down lobby redeem the parking but the car park still charges RM9 (we stayed 3d2n), which is something guests may want to take note of.

Good stay at Jazz Hotel Penang 👍 Really satisfied with my trip here. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub and even a complimentary bath bomb which made the stay extra relaxing. Love the rooftop pool and the overall modern vibe. Location is convenient — walking distance to Straits Quay and easy access to Gurney area for food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely come back again!
