"Regarding the location, you'll need to call a Grab for everything. It's so hot that walking to the nearest restaurant for breakfast in the morning takes over ten minutes, and by the time you get there, you're already drenched in sweat. We knew this beforehand, though. There's a convenience store downstairs, but it's not cheap. We bought a 5L bottle of water for RM30. As for the room, we booked a suite with two bedrooms and a living room. Each bedroom had a double bed, and there was also a double bed in the living room. One of the bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom, and the other bathroom was shared with the living room. The amenities were quite basic. The bathrooms had shower gel and shampoo, and the water heater was hot enough, but you had to figure out how to use it first. There was an ironing board and iron in the unit, but we didn't use them. There was a washing machine, washing powder, an induction cooker, a pot, a frying pan, large bowls, plates, cutlery, a dining table, and three chairs. We did laundry, and there was enough space to hang clothes, as we could hang them in the bathroom and living room. The worst part was having only three chairs. It's advertised for six people, but with only three chairs, one person always had to stand when we ate together. There were four of us staying there. The toilet paper provided by the host was barely enough. We ended up using our own tissues too. Since we stayed for five nights and often brought takeout back to eat, the rubbish bags weren't sufficient. We had to contact someone to get more. Bath towels were provided in the room, and the pool and gym on the 11th floor were open during the day. We didn't have any children with us, but the facilities on the 11th floor looked like they could keep kids entertained for half a day."

"Pro: Within 3km radius of a lot of must eat places. Free Car park available. The reception was pretty responsive on whatsapp during my stay. Affordable. Spacious. Free Nespresso capsules! Speedy check out. Stunning night view from the living room balcony. I can see sun rise while seated in the dining chair in the morning and sunset is available through the kitchen window. Cons: Gym is still under renovation. The swimming pool is small. No microwave oven. The only mirrors available are in the 2 baths. We're a family of 5 but there were only exactly 4 dining chairs, cutleries, bowls, plates and cups. No cabinets for clothes in bedrooms, only a coat stand and hangers. Paid deposit by cash so I got the cash back exactly after check out. I'd they don't increase price, I'll definitely be back. The place is just too comfortable🤩"

"This hotel is excellent. It's brand new and completely odor-free. The rooms even have water purifiers for direct drinking, and hot water is readily available – a huge plus since most hotels in Malaysia don't provide bottled mineral water, and buying it outside can be quite cumbersome. The room design is superb and very well-suited for Chinese guests, with brand new kitchen utensils too. The hotel's location is also fantastic. Just a short walk away, you can catch a free bus for sightseeing around Penang. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the former site where Sun Yat-sen founded the Tongmenghui, and GAMA Supermarket is also within walking distance, offering great products at reasonable prices. You can take the free bus to many attractions. It's also conveniently located about a 30-minute drive from the airport. Plus, you can easily get to the jetty to catch a ferry to Butterworth and then take a train to Ipoh, or even directly to Kuala Lumpur. All in all, it's incredibly convenient and definitely worth staying. This hotel is a perfect choice for a trip to Penang."

"Overall is nice and new hotel, I love the hidden gem beach. just a little bit noisy from outside, i can heard the motor sound at night,soundproof need to be ungrade and the spoon in the room got a stain, quite disgusting."

"I stayed on high floor and was able to enjoy a beautiful city view from the room. The room was well-equipped with convenient facilities such as hangers to hang our towels and an LG brand water dispenser where you can choose the temperature you prefer for drinking. Overall, everything was good and comfortable. The only thing worth mentioning is the parking fee. Every day have to go down lobby redeem the parking but the car park still charges RM9 (we stayed 3d2n), which is something guests may want to take note of."

"Este hotel foi, sem dúvida, o mais confortável de toda a viagem. Em primeiro lugar, o conforto geral do quarto é excelente, a roupa de cama é macia, a disposição é sensata e é muito relaxante estar no quarto, sem qualquer sensação de opressão. O que mais me agradou foi o excelente isolamento acústico; ao fechar a porta, tudo fica muito tranquilo. Seja para descansar à noite ou para uma sesta durante o dia, consegui dormir profundamente, o que é ótimo para quem tem sono leve. A vista também é fantástica, com o mar visível da cama. As vistas do mar ao amanhecer e ao anoitecer são especialmente terapêuticas, e observar o mar melhora o humor. O pequeno-almoço também é de alta qualidade, com uma grande variedade e sabores deliciosos, e os ingredientes são frescos, o que me deixou muito satisfeito e pronto para começar o dia de bom humor. No geral, é um local tranquilo e confortável, com uma vista para o mar que é um bónus, e um pequeno-almoço bem pensado. Recomendo vivamente, seja para umas férias relaxantes ou para um bom descanso. Não queria ir embora depois de ficar aqui, a relação custo-benefício e a experiência foram excelentes."

"Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment.
