“I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with any requests. Check-in was smooth and efficient, which made a great first impression after a long journey. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was especially cozy, allowing for a good night’s sleep, and the amenities provided were more than adequate for a relaxing stay. I also appreciated the little details, such as complimentary toiletries and the overall quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to unwind. The hotel’s location is definitely one of its strong points. It was conveniently situated near key attractions, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to get around without much hassle. This added a lot of value to my stay. That said, there are a few areas where improvement could be made. Some parts of the room felt slightly dated, and occasional delays in service were noticeable during peak hours. However, these were relatively minor issues and did not significantly affect the overall experience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and friendly service. With a few small improvements, it has the potential to be an even better place to stay. I would certainly consider returning in the future.”

Este hotel foi, sem dúvida, o mais confortável de toda a viagem. Em primeiro lugar, o conforto geral do quarto é excelente, a roupa de cama é macia, a disposição é sensata e é muito relaxante estar no quarto, sem qualquer sensação de opressão. O que mais me agradou foi o excelente isolamento acústico; ao fechar a porta, tudo fica muito tranquilo. Seja para descansar à noite ou para uma sesta durante o dia, consegui dormir profundamente, o que é ótimo para quem tem sono leve. A vista também é fantástica, com o mar visível da cama. As vistas do mar ao amanhecer e ao anoitecer são especialmente terapêuticas, e observar o mar melhora o humor. O pequeno-almoço também é de alta qualidade, com uma grande variedade e sabores deliciosos, e os ingredientes são frescos, o que me deixou muito satisfeito e pronto para começar o dia de bom humor. No geral, é um local tranquilo e confortável, com uma vista para o mar que é um bónus, e um pequeno-almoço bem pensado. Recomendo vivamente, seja para umas férias relaxantes ou para um bom descanso. Não queria ir embora depois de ficar aqui, a relação custo-benefício e a experiência foram excelentes.

Shō Hotel is a fairly new hotel, bear in mind that it’s located in Jelutong and it’s 15 min of driving to Georgetown. It’s situated in a nearby quiet neighbourhood. It has all the facilities, gym, laundry room, swimming pool, bar, and not forget to mention there are 2 EV charging bays in LG basement parking level (40kW each with reasonable price - download Renergy app), free parking, welcome drinks for every day of stay, etc. The room is too spacious till looks empty I might say.  Few complaints I have to highlight: 1. Water pressure isn’t strong enough to cool down my body after a long day walking around Penang. 2. There is unpleasant cleaning detergent smell when opening the room door. Hope the management could do something to improve it. 3. Basement parking can be narrow for bigger car or MPV. 4. The bathroom glass is black, however we still can see the shadow of the person having a dump or taking a shower.

O hotel é muito acessível para o preço. Primeiro, falando sobre o lugar, o quarto é muito espaçoso, uma família de quatro pessoas não se sente apertada, tem uma vista ampla para o mar e, com as cortinas abertas, entra bastante sol. O banheiro tem banheira e chuveiro, o espaço é grande o suficiente para ficar várias noites sem cheiro de esgoto. A geladeira é bem gelada e o ar-condicionado funciona bem. Usando os serviços eletrônicos, basta escanear o código QR e pedir para reporem os produtos de higiene pessoal, água engarrafada, chinelos descartáveis ​​e até mesmo para limpar o quarto. Chegará em cerca de dez minutos. Há uma dúzia de mesas para você se sentar no saguão e o sorvete tem um preço razoável. Não fique parado na porta esperando o ônibus. Há seguranças uniformizados no saguão, na entrada. Você precisa passar o cartão na porta antes de usar o elevador. Você só pode acessar o seu andar. Há uma feira noturna perto do hotel, a 10 minutos a pé da Love Lane, e restaurantes e supermercados não ficam longe. Lugares ruins, o hotel é antigo, a descarga do vaso sanitário vaza um pouco, a porta do box não fecha direito, mas não chega a vazar água para o chão. O chuveiro na banheira não tem pressão suficiente. Seria muito melhor tomar banho no box. Há lixo embaixo da cama, poeira na borda da mesa, manchas pretas no papel-toalha e não me atrevi a usar as xícaras. Todo o quarto tem tomadas britânicas de três pinos, não há tomadas de dois pinos para barbeador elétrico no banheiro, a TV só tem sinal de TV, sem Bluetooth.

This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!

The location is fantastic, right by two large shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient—just a three to four-minute walk away. While you'll need a taxi to get to the old town attractions, it means the area is much quieter. There's a Hua Yang restaurant right under the nearby Gurney Plaza, and the wait times are much shorter than in Kuala Lumpur, so I finally got to eat there! The facilities are a bit lacking and can't compare to five-star hotels in China. However, the service is excellent, and they even offer a shuttle bus. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; they start clearing up right on time, and the variety isn't huge. Overall, the service was very good and proactive.

We had a busy itinerary, which means we arrived back at the hotel late at night. In this case, we had to use the hotel restaurant service. Which, was an excellent idea. For the rest, talking about location, amenities, staff and cleaning, there are no objections. Everything was excellent.

I am very pleased with the service given by the receptionist. They are welcoming and very friendly. They had been going an extra mile for my birthday during the stay and it made my day. 🥰 Thank you so much again for the hospitality and for the upgrade. The room is spacious and have all the basic amenities. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve is adding more variation to their channels on the TV and all the lift need to be available during peak season since it is a hassle to wait for the lift and missed out a few times just because of the lift is full. However I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Penang for all the other reasons ☺️

Location around 1.5 km away from many tourist attractions, like upside museum, UNESCO heritage sites etc.. we had to grab taxi everytime. There is a pool on 1st floor, big enough for children to swim around. Its from 7 am to 7 pm. But to be honest, it could be until 9 pm, kind of strict rules. Check-in counter staff was not that welcoming / nor smile, neither kind words/ But cleaning staff and security was kind, smiling every time as we enter the hotel.

Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.
