I bought a promise (experience) and it was given a completely other.
We are very unhappy with what happened ... At the time of check-in it was reported that the girlfriend's dinner had changed and that only CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU CAN YOU
Not only we are disappointed as several couples.
That was totally discriminatory in fact .... we could prosecute them by claiming that reason.
The couples were all forced (including us) to dine inside the room ... was super boring and strange.
This is completely out of the consumer's code, we are forced to buy a dinner at that value or you can't eat inside the restaurant.
It was a pity.

The room was OK, relatively large and spacious. Although not new, it was not bad. We arrived early and the hotel had not yet cleaned up the room, so we had to wait a long time, but overall it was OK. There was a tall young girl at check-in, and the service was average. Everything else was good, except for the bad morning.De€ 167

My initial impression of hotel was negatively impacted as the wait time to check-in was excessively long and horrendous. However, the rest of my stay exceeded expectations. Staff were nice and cordial. My room was spacious and comfortable, although wear and tear was evident. Bathroom could use a deep clean. The hotel has certainly seen better days in its golden era, and this is photographically displayed throughout the hotel with photos of distinguished guests. I would recommend this hotel which surprisingly exceed my expectations. I would stay againDe€ 54

I stayed at Wyndham São Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Plaza Hotel twice during my trip (April 3–8 and April 10–11), and overall, this was a very mixed experience. I’m an international traveller so I would say I have my fair share of seeing all sides to a hotel. To be a 4 star hotel and to charge premium rates, I would expect certain things.
Let’s start with the positive to the hotel -
The location is excellent. From the hotel across there is a shopping mall, which makes it extremely convenient for food, shopping, and daily necessities.
• Cleanliness is generally acceptable. Aside from one incident, (on my first night, I found red stain marks which looks like lipstick on my sheets, took a photo and alerted receptionist the next morning for a change of sheets.
• Room size is spacious and comfortable. I stayed in the “ superior room” and the junior suite.
The issues (and they are significant):
1. Misleading room expectations
The room I received looked noticeably older and more worn than the photos online. Doors, bathroom condition, and overall finishing did not match what was advertised. It felt misleading. This hotel definitely need a glow up.
2. Poor service & lack of flexibility
Service was the biggest disappointment.
• Staff were generally not proactive or solution-oriented.
• I made a booking error via Trip.com and tried to adjust the dates. Both the platform and hotel refused to help or offer alternatives.
• Even a simple late check-out request (which I informed them about in advance and was willing to pay for) was declined without much effort to accommodate. I wasn’t also asking for hours just a mere 2 hours so that I can go to the city to pick up some stuff before my long haul 32hours flight.
4. Billing inconsistencies – check your charges carefully
• I was initially charged for 2 minibar items when I only consumed 1. I manage to catch this on time before paying for it.
• Laundry count was incorrect (11 pieces sent, billed for 12). Receipts and explanations were unclear, and I’m still not fully confident everything was billed correctly.
5. Missing basic amenities (unexpected for this level)
• No iron or ironing board available
• No kettle / hot water in the room
• No complimentary drinking water
• Everything must be purchased separately
6. Language barrier for international guests
Not all staff speak English, which can make communication difficult if you’re not Portuguese-speaking.
Overall verdict: This hotel is convenient but not service-oriented.
If you are Brazilian or familiar with local expectations, you may find it acceptable. But as an international traveler, the experience falls short—especially in service, transparency, and attention to detail.
Would I return?
Probably not, unless location is the only priority.De€ 60

The hotel next to the exhibition, the surrounding area does not feel very safe, there are many homeless people on the surrounding streets, the hotel room also has a musty smell. Before leaving, I gave a receipt. The hotel front desk manager was as arrogant as a **** and asked me to find an agent. I stayed in three hotels in Sao Paulo for more than 20 nights in total. This is a great hotel for a short stay in São Paulo. However, checking in took way too long (over 15minutes). The reason for this is that the receptionist, Josinilson, subscribed us to their loyalty program without informing us upfront. He kept asking personal questions that were, according to him, necessary for confirmation of the reservation. After a long day, we just wanted to sleep. When we jokingly asked why he needed all that information for, he got sarcastically aggressive saying “because for my work”. The other receptionists were clearly shocked too. The hotel is great, room is more than okay and beds are comfortable. But the check in experience is in need of some improvement.De€ 47

This hotel is located along the famous Paulista Avenue, a popular landmark. The rooms are clean, and it's super convenient for getting around, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Even though it's on a busy and bustling street, the soundproofing in my room was pretty good; it was quiet at night and didn't disturb my sleep. Just a heads-up: most hotels in Brazil don't provide disposable amenities like slippers or toiletries, so it's best to bring your own. This hotel did provide a toothbrush and toothpaste, which is a nice touch, but no slippers. Just something to keep in mind.De€ 154

The quality of the hotel is excellent and, even though it is not in a very quiet neighborhood, the fact that the hotel is set back ensures safety. You can drive in and out of the hotel safely and calmly.
In addition, the hotel is brand new, extremely clean and the staff are very friendly.

The hotel isn't too far from the airport; an Uber costs about 90 reais, which is quite convenient. I arrived at 10:30 AM and paid an early check-in fee. The elevator is tiny, and the restaurant is also quite small. The room itself isn't small, but the facilities are extremely outdated. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or slippers, only two small sachets of shampoo and some rather smelly soap. There are a few shops nearby, but if you have a decent budget, I really wouldn't recommend staying here.

- They didn't keep to the check-in time, the rooms were only available from 3:30 p.m. onwards and I was late for the event I was going to because of this delay in getting into the room.
- The hotel is in the central region of São Paulo, while I was at the reception a guy came in asking for money and the security guards didn't do anything.
- Breakfast had very little variety, dry bread and almost no cake options, for example, in other words, if you're thinking about paying for breakfast separately it's not worth it, it's better to eat at a bakery in São Paulo, which is more worthwhile.
- While I was taking a shower a maid came into my room saying that I had already checked out in the system, I was very embarrassed by the situation.De€ 43

Having just arrived in São Paulo, a city in the Southern Hemisphere, I happily checked into my hotel after arriving from the airport. Suddenly, I realized my small carry-on bag, which I usually use to store my belongings, was missing. I'd even left my phone in it when I got out of the car. I was so panicked! Fortunately, I never ask for receipts, but as if by some miracle, I asked the driver for one. I quickly told the lovely receptionist about my bag and handed her the receipt. The receptionist appeared unhurried and leisurely called the taxi company. They told me which car was waiting and would contact the driver. Although over half an hour had passed since I got off the car, I was worried, but surprisingly, I didn't despair. Just two or three minutes later, the front desk phone rang. They told me the driver was on his way to the hotel with my bag, but because of the morning rush hour, there might be a delay. I was stunned. I had never expected the people of São Paulo to be so kind and efficient! I was both surprised and touched! My bag was in the back seat. I bought coffee ☕️ and some food at the popular cafe in the lobby, slowly admiring the beautiful hotel surroundings while patiently waiting for the driver to arrive. After about 20 minutes, the driver arrived at the hotel door, carrying my bag and smiling broadly. He kept thanking me and offered me the money as a token of his gratitude. He was very polite and refused to take it. Without further ado, I shoved it into his pocket. I read an article a long time ago that said Brazilians 🇧🇷 are all like-minded people! This personal experience has truly struck me as spot-on! The hotel front desk service was also excellent; they had a room for me before 11:00 AM. I'm truly grateful to Brazil 🇧🇷 and São Paulo! Thank you to the driver and the hotel front desk staff 👩💼 for making my trip to São Paulo a safe, enjoyable, and complete experience. 💕De€ 119

I, a woman, booked a king-size room. It was spacious and had everything I needed. I had to ask the front desk for toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers. There was no comb, and I didn't even brush my hair during my week there. The breakfast rolls were hot, the teppanyaki bread was delicious, and there was a wide selection of drinks. The surroundings were lovely, the hotel building was grand, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby, including a fancy restaurant like NB Steak. My stay was near the main road, so the noise from the motorbikes was a bit noisy at night, but for someone like me who was jet-lagged, it didn't bother me much. I barely had any jet lag and slept well every night. Also, you can eat all the drinks and snacks at the hotel—I thought there was a charge, but I didn't. The view from the upper floors was great!De€ 115
