Can't say enough good regarding Tru by Hilton in Martinsburg. Everything from the location, service, rooms, amenities and the friendly and helpful staff are all far and above what I've come to expect from a hotel stay. Moreover, they have the best coffee and the fastest elevators on the planet.

There was a sock and used razor on the ground when I just checked in. Otherwise everything was fine. Parking was $16 after tax. It’s behind the hotel. The entrance parking was full when I got there. 2 free drinks 5:30-7pm and breakfast included. Omelette bar was pretty good. Staff generally were very friendly. Pictures are the view from my room.

Great room. Clean. Good breakfast. Everything we expected from Hampton.

Peeling paint, stained sinks and walls, smelled like smoke, and the sink vanity was a piece of chopped board. Hot water was warm, not hot at all

The hotel was nice and we have stayed at Fairfield Inns before. However, the television was broken and needed to be replaced. There were lines on the display screen in two directions, a spot in the lower left hand corner where the television had been dropped or something hit the screen, and the remote control had a sticky substance on the back of it and had obviously not been cleaned. When my wife used the hair dryer, the plastic on the exterior of the hair dryer had separated and posed a potential hazard. The worst part of our stay was my wife finding a bug in the bed when she was straightening the bed for our departure. The accommodations were not up to Marriott standards, but the desk clerk received our concerns well and apologized.

The location is good, in the city center, close to the high speed. There is also a park nearby to see the covered bridge. The room is large and the accommodation is very comfortable. There is a river next to the hotel.

This was a GREAT place to stop mid-trip!
