Hotel room looks newly renovated. Was pleasantly surprised that it provided room slippers and changed the individual soap and shampoo to more eco friendly dispensers. Room was comfortable and spacious. The major let down was screaming kids and adults next door made worst by inter-connecting door. Suggest hotel place families with young children in non connecting rooms( unless they book both rooms or place them far away. Kids were shouting and screaming non stop from 7am and adults were doing the same. Totally stressed out by the experience

Love the people at the front desk, they are always so happy and friendly. Check-in took a bit longer than usual but the staff were very apologetic. I stayed in the Urban room at level 12 facing the highway and river. To my surprise it was rather quiet I can’t really hear the traffic. Morning breakfast at level 6 was pretty crowded. The next morning I just went down earlier and it was great. The girls at breakfast were always happy to welcome us… keep it up 👍

First time staying with a child. Location is convenient and parking available. Room size is just nice, comfy bed with clean beddings. Toilet is clean with shampoo and body wash provided. Can see that maintenance of the room is provided. Hope that they would keep it up with the cleanliness and services.

I had some stuff going on and ask for some room check out extension. The staff was even kind enough to gave me some tolerance and extension. Thanks so much again. Dear Crystal Crown Management Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for the hospitality during this period. To begin with, I have a brother who is currently serving quarantine at Hotel Ramada, so I know exactly what are the two hotels offering and its differences. Nevertheless, my stay with Crystal Crown has been a decent one which I am grateful for. I will also be honest with you that there are quite number of areas which need to be improved, not only for the wellbeing of the next batch of guests, but also for the benefit of your staff members. Hence, I would like to provide some constructive suggestions. 1) Communications a) Clarity on the rules of food / items delivery. The RELA briefed us on the arrival day, but it was unclear as we were seated outdoor. A suggestion is to include pictures in your document. See the attached photo for illustration. Besides pasting the rules at the entrance, you could also print it out in black and white for every room, together with the welcome letter. I believe that once the rules are spelled out clearly, the guests will manage their expectations accordingly. b) Distribute the 14 days necessities (e.g. mineral waters, trash bag, toiletries) at one shot. This is also a good practice of Hotel Ramada. Not only the guests can ration the items based on their needs, it also saves your hotel staff the trouble of attending to the needs of the guests at all time. c) Discontinue the whatsapp group. I understand the intention of setting up the group is for emergency purpose. But we all clearly know that this is not the case. Unfortunately, the chat group becomes a platform of all sorts of stuff: from requesting the daily necessities, clarifying the same delivery rules, asking the staff to pick up and send food / items, to spamming the group of 198 people with complaints and feud, or even turning the group into personal chat room. I believe once point a) & b) are sorted out, there is less need to use the whatsapp group as the main channel of communication. We can always use the phone in our room to call the front desk for additional requests or attend to emergency matters. Respecting the guests’ privacy is very much appreciated. 2) Dietary Preferences a) Make the effort to collect guests’ dietary needs and be committed to attend to it. This is a basic etiquette and fundamentals of the hospitality industries. Peanut and seafood allergies can be severe and deadly. The health of people with medical conditions (e.g. diabetes) could be affected. Not to mention the vulnerable such as the elderly, young children and pregnant women. We are human after all, hence the importance of mutual respect – treat the guests the way you want to be treated. b) Look after the well-being of the vegetarians. I would like to speak up for the vegetarians, especially those who practise strict vegetarianism. They cannot to take onions, garlic, chives, green onions and leeks, as it cause anger and desi

The beds are hard. The bed sheet look old and not sure if it really got change with a brown blanket between the sheets make me feel itchy. I feel itchy and in the night. Can hear the top occupants running in the room for like 30 minutes in the middle of the night. Too tired to call lobby to check if there anyone staying in the room. Breakfast food so so… not worth. The toilet look old and bottom cracks. The room floor can feel lots of hairs that are roll in between your toes. The shower hose shower went loose and wet the floor. The water not hot and the tap look run down. The good is the room facilities service guys are good and fast. The service counter staff and hotel staff are good. The lifts are fast. Room quite big.

What I want to say is it the ballroom is very spacious and comfort. The room ia a sound proof. The food is very good and deliciuos. It is variety and very tastefully. The High tea also very good especially a mee goreng mamak. Overal is very good.

Everything was alright. Except that I felt cheated on the first day of check in. I was too hungry hence I went to buy a egg sandwich. It was specifically reflected 18 ringit. But upon payment I was told it was 26 ringit, the server told me they have placed the wrong price tag. I felt so ripped off. But did not wish to argue further as I was tired & hungry. Paid for the sandwich & left the place

We went for Sunway Big Box Hotel for my daughter’s birthday. Surprised with the location that it’s only 10 minutes drive from Tuas checkpoint! Like the bathe room that the water supply is strong and the heater is good, plus that have seat to sit down during showering. The breakfast with variety of food of different cultures. The hotel connected with a supermarket and shopping mall, very suitable to go with family and children.

It’s a huge hotel with 300+rooms. It’s a bit out dated, but all the staffs are super nice. There is also a very cute garden near the swimming pool that you can learn about the plants and met some small animals.

Great location just across KOMTAR, and easy access via the escalator up to 2nd floor of Zenith Mall. Walking distant to anywhere around City Square and of course walking distance to and fro CIQ. Nice modern rooms and well maintained. Didn't have the breakfast as there's lots of good food around the hotel. Had 2 King Superior rooms and was connecting which is good for family. (though the front desk told me its side by side and not connecting except for Superior Twin).

We stayed for 1N Sat night in a Deluxe Twin room. The room is big and spacious. It gets abit warm because of the afternoon sun. The swimming pool is well overdue for renovation and repair. Its weird there is no toilet for wash up after the swim, expect guests to do simple drying w towel in the open! It gets very crowded on Sunday when we had our breakfast, food is above average. Its location is not near shopping malls, but Grab rides at RM10 to Bandar doesn't hurt. Its about 3km from City Square. Overall 7/10, Thistle hotel is tucked in a corner of JB city area, its has reasonable price, may consider coming back again.

Stayed overnight and tried staying here for the 1st time. Hotel location was a little out of the way from the city but it was safe and secure, with security guard to check vehicle before entry to the carpark. Staff were friendly and hotel was clean. Used the gym and it had plenty of equipment and provided water and towels for guests. Room was big and spacious. Will definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

Unfortunately, we booked a themed room called kingdom, which has only a city view, unlike a pirate themed room and adventure themed room, they have a great Legoland view. Although the room rates are the same. Rooms include 2 separate sleeping areas, with a king-sized bed for adults, and a separate area for up to 3 children, complete with bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and their very own TV. The TV for kids is malfunctioning. Swimming pool at 5th floor Rating: 4 stars Average price per person: MYR500

Very clean and spacious room. The amenities were great and the pool was shaded which was great for wet/dry weather. Bathtub was available. We ordered food from hotel kitchen and the portion was big for the price. Definitely a wonderful experience after the trip to Legoland.

Forest City Marina Hotel is a resort hotel by the sea with a view of Singapore. The receiptionist are very polite and helpful. We checked in at the hotel on 17 October 2020 and the whole check in process was fast and took us less than 10 minutes from queuing to getting the room keys. The room is very spacious and big. It is equipped with wifi connectivity, big screen tv, a variety of tv channels, a chiller, bathrobes and complimentary mineral water. The bathroom/toilet comes with a bathtub and separate shower and the size is big and spacious. The room also have a balcony facing the seaview and Singapore. The downside of the hotel: 1. It’s located very far from JB city and after 8pm, the Forest City seems to be a dead city. 2. Some of the facilities are not open to the public(eg. Only one swimming pool is open out of the many swimming pools, facilities around the resort are limited to the Marina Hotel and many shops are closed) 3. Some of the equipment/in room facilities require repair eg. Shower head 4. Aircond is not switched on in many areas(maybe due to low occupancy) The positive part of the hotel: 1. Very friendly and polite staff in the hotel from receiption, restaurant, security guards to the housekeeping team. Good job everyone. 2. The room is neat and tidy. Sufficient towels and amenities are provided. 3. Operator/receiption answer the phone call within three rings 4. They have promotion set meal at rm20 each which is affordable.

Came for a long weekend trip with family. Amazing breakfast spread, comfortable rooms and excellent services. Really enjoyed the private beach, the pool and complimentary bike ride! Both my elderly parents enjoyed the morning walks along the beach and vibe while staying in the hotel. If the hotel is near KL, I would have come again with my family!

Booked room while other families used other booking platform. Front counter is nice to give us rooms on the same floor. We also requested for a late checkout which is at 1pm. We were also given coupons for free welcome drink. Our overall encounter generally w hard rock is amazing. And we love it. My mother in law say it is a waste for staying for 2 days and 1 night and there's a lot to explore. Ohh also do check out in store too! If you are a guest there and shop at a certain amount, u can get free gift and further discounts!

The hotel stay was delightful. The room is spacious with everything working perfectly. Breakfast is delicious with variety to choose from. Facilities within the hotel too was superb. With their creativity, they eventually made an outdoor gym using woods that they recycle and also beach swing which is the plus point. Credits to the hotel technician team for their hardwork to build it.

Beautiful place, both the pools were great and they had enough activities to keep kids busy. Room was excellent with comfy and clean sheets/towels. Personally enjoyed the bicycle rides and walks within the resort. Buffet spread was good and in room dining was good too. Will visit again

Beautiful rooms and resort! The infinity pool facing the sea was gorgeous! Our room and toilet were beautiful! The private pool was great but the water can be cold. It would be great if there could be a heater for the pool. There were a lot of insects (but it is understandable due to being surrounded by rainforest) so if you hate insects, do not stay in the rainforest room. We took the ocean room and it was already quite much lol. Our stay was AH-MAY-ZING. It was so private and luxurious. The staff were all very friendly and everyone showered our baby with so much love! We were deeply impressed and if you asked if we were ever going to stay there again, i would say “in a heartbeat!”. Thank you everyone for the amazing stay!

My son and I recently went to Lotus Desaru and it was really fun. I actually didn’t expect a lot of things from here, but it really surprised me. The room was spacious, with high ceilings and cozy lighting. We had a bedroom upstairs, which made it feel even bigger. It was clean and comfortable, perfect for the two of us. Their cable even had Nickelodeon, so that was a plus, and they also had some movie channels. They also have room service from one of their restaurants, it can take 30-40 minutes to arrive but the food was really nice and eating inside your own room has some perks to it. My son absolutely loved the water park, and I enjoyed the pools too. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, and a good variety of restaurants with both seafood and western options. The breakfast was great, and the fact that you can catch the sunrise near the beach was a big bonus for us (make sure to head to the restaurant before 8 am, which we did). The beach was also beautiful with white sand and much better than I anticipated. The only thing that made me think twice about going back to the beach was that there was a rope attached to a buoy of some kind. First, I stepped on it and got small cuts on the sole of my right foot, and then I hit it again with my left, but this time, I hit the top part of my foot, resulting in even bigger cuts. I had to buy two band-aids (which were available nearby at the souvenir shop) to stop the bleeding. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who had that experience. I thought the ride from Johor Bahru to Desaru would take long but it only took about 1.5 hours by Grab. The fare from JB to Lotus on Saturday morning was RM255, but oddly enough, the ride back to JB was only RM130. Not sure why, but either way, it’s really not far at all for families coming from Singapore looking for a beach getaway like this. We had an amazing time (aside from that injury), and we are actually booked to go back in October with my two sons and wife, who couldn’t join last time. I highly recommend it for families who want a short ride and time off from the busy Singapore life.

Great hotel, check in was smooth and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They share with us on where to have nice seafood etc. the room size is big but do note that the double bed is both queen size. The amenities are good as well. They surprised us with birthday decorations. It’s very children friendly hotel

Tunamaya unlike the outside look, first image you will feel it like very old building, and we were worried about the room all this thing. After we get the room, the room is perfectly clean, the toilet is clean and acceptable. I can see they do not clean the floor at balcony, it is ok, there have more fun at outside. The biggest advantages is the hotel is walking distance to beach which my daughter very like it. Breakfast is ok, simple and just nice. The outside restaurants are walking distance, this also better than other hotels. This is important because of going to town is about 30-35minutes by car.

Most ever worst room I stayed. This is the second time we booked Lotus resort. Previously, we stayed Lotus beach reasort at Desaru. We are impressed with loft units and amenities. So this time round, we decided to stay another Lotus Resort at Pengerang. We have booked 2 rooms standard King for 2 days which claim as near to beach. One is for us at 106. Another's room will be 108 for my parents in law. We found big red ants over room 106 on the desk, floor, and toilet. Make complaint to indian receptionist twice. One technician came to inspect, spray anti-ant, and believed what we had complained. The Indian receptionist only allowed us to change room to 152, which is super far from my in-laws room 108. Claims that only room is available for standard King. My in-laws room 108 is worse than us. They found a brunch of earth worms in the toilet bowl after flushed. Complaint to receptionist about issues. The same thing the technician came to solve was the problem. We are DISAPPOINTED for what we paid. Not value for money to stay there. We prefer Lotus Beach Resort Bandar Penawar at Desaru.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Sebana Cove Resort, it is hard to really measure the hotel and really depends what you’re looking for. The resort is fairly old (25 years old), but I would disagree that it is worn off, it just isn’t brand new and shiny. The staff couldn’t be more friendly / helpful, same can be said of the security guards. Parking is free and you can park close to your room, there are no lifts/elevators so book a ground floor room if this is likely to be an issue for you or your party. Wifi was fine for us, you get a 3-day token which is good for 2 devices, we were given 1 per person. For general surfing this was fine, I didn’t stream Netflix so can’t comment. I’m not on holiday to be glued to a device. The location is a long way from the main road / town, you really need your own transport to stay here, I tried (unsuccessfully) to get a Grab taxi to take us into town, have a willing and sober driver in your party! The Marina area and hotel grounds are very well kept, the swimming pool could do with some love, but on the whole everything is nice enough (keep in mind the room rate you’re paying). If you want the Westin in Desaru, stay there and pay the premium. For us, the biggest negative was the food, breakfast is charged at 35MYR per person, the offering is small and its first time we’ve ever had breakfast in Asia without fresh fruit. Don’t expect an egg station or any artisan bread / coffee etc etc. It is a simple offering… Lunch and dinner is a similar basic affair, around 7-8 local dishes ranging from 20-30MYR each, note that dinner stopped serving at 8pm, last orders at 7pm. Offsite there are restaurants but they involve driving, obviously you have Super Lobster and Jades Garden Corner for a wide selection of seafood within a 20 minute drive. To add, you cannot get Grabfood to deliver to the hotel….food options are limited. The menu does not reflect the photos you see in on the hotel website, if only they did! From the hotel you get a beautiful sunset across the Marina, sadly you won’t be enjoying sundowners with this view, beer (Tiger/Carlsberg) was the only alcohol available.

It is my 3rd day of stay in this resort and it exceeded my expectation. I rented a 5 room villa and it is superbly maintained, comfy and clean. It is located just next to the golf course and the view is fantastic. At night you could hear the sound of insects with cool breeze. The staff here are helpful and courteous. We had dinner in the Club and most of the dishes are very good especially the duck 🦆 . Activities wise it caters to all age and personalities- we played tennis, table tennis, swimming pool with slide for kids. We’ll like try archery before leaving tomorrow. There are many other things here like table pool, gym, squash, horse riding, a small field for football and of course golf- we won’t have time for all these this time 😉. I will give a 5 Star ⭐️ rating for this resort in overall offerings, service and value. Keep it up Tg Puteri Golf Resort ⛳️ 👏👏

Old hotel but maintain well, room spacious, location very easy to parking. Surrounded by many shop, very convenient. Nice to stay for my work trip.

I travel for business, because I have training at JPFSA, so this is the most decent hotel in the area. This is a small town not far from Johor Bahru, the capital state. Easy to get Grab Service and a lot of eating place. There a bar and restaurant next to the hotel, Japanese Restaurant Opposite & Bakery opposite the hotel. Room is spacious, bright lighting and decent decoration, there no wardrobe. It's ok for 1 or 2 nights. Quite safe for woman traveller. Breakfast can be better. They only serve coffee/tea with sandwiches and noodles/fried rice. Please dont set high expectation for breakfast. This area mostly office area for freight forwarders and other small businesses.
