"We were pitting this hotel against other chains like Dormy Inn and Candeo Hotels.
Richmond’s value proposition is that you pay less but have less amenities. The rooms are bigger that what we were comparing with but you do not get a public bath and you do not get free drinks and noodles. For the price I think that Richmond is good in that aspect. The hotel lobby is nice and pays homage to the Dutch visiting Japan eons ago as Nagasaki was the first place they came into contact with then.
It’s a typical chain hotel, but its located along the bar and nightlife street, though the events happening around that street didn’t bother us, I believe that the price is lowered due to the location of the place."

"We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Wingport Nagasaki. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the train station and close to many shops and restaurants, which made getting around Nagasaki really convenient. Overall, a great place to stay and excellent value for the location!"

"1人で宿泊だったので狭めの部屋でも問題なく、逆に使いやすかったです。湯船に浸かりたかったので入浴剤を持参しましたが、選べるアメニティにして無料でもらえるとかだったら嬉しいです。シャンプー、トリートメント、ボディシャンプー、ハンド&洗顔ソープも悪くなかったです。
インスタントコーヒー、粉ミルク、グリーンティーバッグが部屋にあり飲むことができました。冷蔵庫の中の上部に冷凍庫が内蔵されているので、アイスクリームなどの保存は厳しいかもしれません。枕も2つずつあり、ベッドの寝心地も大変私には合っており熟睡しました。ハンガーをかけるところも多く、ベッド横にコンセントとUSB コンセントがありました。"

"O Atendimento é sensacional, a localização é otima, não fornecem garrafa de agua no quarto, a acomodação nao foi muito confortavel, pois a cama é menor que uma cama de casal e realmente nao cabe duas pessoas. Eu Infelizmente tive mais um problema, fui premiada com um alojamento com cheiro de cigarro, contatei a recepção que prontamente tentaram resolver o meu problema, mas o hotel estava lotado e nao podiam trocar de quarto e eu tive que suportar o cheiro do cigarro por dois dias. Isso acontece porque o hotel aceitam fumantes e não fumantes ao mesmo tempo, com isso se o numero de quarto para nao fumantes esgotar, voce sera hospedado em um quarto que alguem fumou, simples assim. Eu nunca mais farei uma reserva em um hotel que adota a política de alguns quartos para nao fumantes. Fica a dica.
Além do cheiro do cigarro , o banheiro cheirava a mofo porque entra muita agua entre a banheira e a parece que nao é vedada e a umidade que fica constantemente ai, com certeza cria muito bolor."

ChloetteBeautiful hotel, view was awesome the moment we stepped out of the train at the station. Pleasant surprise that we got free upgrades to rooms with park view that was so stunning. We took many beautiful pictures of the view. The breakfast was very impressive as well. The staff was very polite and provided good service with smiles. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Guest UserThe location is superb as it's a hotel right inside Huis Ten Bosch. At check-in, all guests receive a passport for the next day, which is a great deal. Another excellent perk for hotel guests is being able to ride popular attractions from 9 AM the following morning. I also loved being able to walk around and take photos in Huis Ten Bosch even after closing hours. Our room had four beds and was spacious, but it felt quite old. The amenities were by Laura Ashley, and having a hair scrunchie was a fantastic touch.

Private entrance to Huis Ten Bosch takes you almost directly to the flower fields. They provide free loaner umbrellas which was handy as it rained one day during our stay. Breakfast was decent with a variety of western and Japanese foods. It is nice that breakfast is offered for quite a while so you have flexibility when eating. They were very helpful with storing luggage early and picking it up late so we could spend our time enjoying Huis Ten Bosch without worrying. My husband had a guitar and they personally held it in a protected location as they also have automated luggae storage. Facilities were clean and maintained although not new. Front desk spoke flawless English. Overall a pleasant stay.

It's located on a pretty steep hill, and there isn't much commercial activity around. You'll need to take a bus to get into the city center. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, conveniently named after the hotel itself. Make sure you get off at that stop; getting off even one or two stops earlier will mean a steep climb.
It's not far from the summit of Mount Inasa, and there's a direct bus. If you miss the bus after enjoying the night view, a taxi back to the hotel is only about a 5-minute ride and reasonably priced.
The hotel's own free rooftop observation deck is absolutely amazing, and enjoying a drink and the night view in the lounge is also very pleasant.
There's a shuttle bus service from the hotel to Nagasaki Station.
There's also a hot spring (onsen).

MagmagcuWe are coming with family occupied two rooms. Front office staff are very nice and arrange us on the same floor. The rooms are big enough to open two large suitcases. The double bed is so huge that can sleep three people. The only complaint is the car park arrangement, this information need to post in the website for us to aware in advance as the carpark is not on the same building and there is no space to park the car for unloading the luggages. The front office staff only tell us we cannot drive through the building at that time cars cannot enter. We need to park to two designated parking areas which make us in a hurry to drive away the car.

FeixiangdexiaolingyunThis hotel is only a five-minute walk from Nagasaki Station. The room design is fantastic, and the separate toilet and bathroom are my favorite 'Dormy Inn' style. The hot spring bath was also very relaxing, though I missed out on the late-night ramen. I'll definitely stay here again in the future.

Guest UserLocation-wise, the hotel is conveniently right in front of the Ohato Station of the Nagasaki tramway system, and is a very walkable distance away from many attractions including Dejimamachi, Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown, and the Nagasaki Seaside Park. The cleanliness of the room and hallways was excellent and the front desk receptionists were kind and welcoming. The coin laundry room has 4 washing machines and 4 dryers (as of Sept 2025; do note that the coin laundry room feels like a free sauna when at least 4 machines are running), the wifi for guests worked consistently, and the smoke-free policy meant that no areas smelled of smoke. The air conditioning for the rooms was sufficiently cool, the lighting control and mini alarm clock by the bed worked well, and overall the room felt very cozy and comfortable to stay in. Because the single room has a relatively narrow entrance walkway, try to avoid bringing multiple pieces of large luggage as there may not be space to open them at the same time. I greatly enjoyed my stay here (especially it being my first solo trip), and would book it again if returning to Nagasaki in the future.

熊熊找不到Stayed one night in this hotel, the interior is new and clean. The mini self service cafe at the reception is very welcoming, they even provide take away cup for guests to bring the coffee/tea to the room, I find this is a thoughtful gesture.
This hotel has good variety of amenities, the room is compact and functional, good for solo travelers. There is a microwave in the room to heat up the food, and humidifier at the common area if you ever needed one. I personally like the public bath a lot, especially the outdoor pool. The room has the body wash and shampoo, other toiletries can be self service from the reception.
Not forget about the location, just a stone throw away from 2 tram stations, basically you could travel around Nagasaki from these 2 tram stations.
One thing worth mentioning is, the bus no 5 that goes to Inasa-yama park cable care and slope care station, is just few minutes from the hotel, which is a pleasant surprise and saves me a lot of time when I was trying to find my way to the park.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay in this hotel, highly recommend it!

A very comfortable hotel located just about 400 metres from Nagasaki Station, with a tram stop, bus stop, and a convenience store right at the doorstep. Getting around is incredibly easy, as it sits right in the heart of everything. Glover Garden, the Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park, and Chinatown are all just a few tram stops away. You can even walk to Mt. Inasayama in around 10 minutes, which makes visiting for the famous night view especially convenient.
The room was clean and cozy. The public bath was spacious, with multiple tubs to choose from. There are also laundry and dryer machines available (three of each), though you may need to time your usage a bit.
The breakfast was excellent, especially for those who enjoy Japanese-style options. It included a rotating selection of Nagasaki specialties such as champon, Goto udon, and sara udon. There were also breads, salads, and made-to-order egg dishes. However, it might feel a bit pricey if you do not prefer Japanese-style breakfasts, as they make up around 60% of the selection.

BoganThis hotel boasts a wonderful location in a picturesque part of the city, right next to Glover Garden. It's the only hotel here, and it's truly magnificent. Housed in a meticulously restored historic building, it features modern amenities and offers stunning bay views. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and pleasant strolls around the area is here. The rooms are spacious with luxurious interiors and comfortable beds. Every detail has been thought of, from the coffee machine and bathrobes to all the toiletries. Getting here might be a bit of a trek, as the hotel is on a hill, about a 10-15 minute uphill walk from public transport stops. However, this is more than compensated for by its incredibly quiet location, free from bustling traffic and crowds. I'd like to give a special shout-out to one of the hotel staff, Peiyun Lin! She is an exceptional professional with excellent English (she's from Taiwan), gracious, and competent – an ideal employee. She responded instantly to our problem when we found a large cockroach in the bathroom! She arrived quickly with special products to treat the area. If only there were more employees like her! Thank you!
