Primeiro, falando sobre o lugar, o quarto é muito espaçoso, uma família de quatro pessoas não se sente apertada, tem uma vista ampla para o mar e, com as cortinas abertas, entra bastante sol.
O banheiro tem banheira e chuveiro, o espaço é grande o suficiente para ficar várias noites sem cheiro de esgoto.
A geladeira é bem gelada e o ar-condicionado funciona bem.
Usando os serviços eletrônicos, basta escanear o código QR e pedir para reporem os produtos de higiene pessoal, água engarrafada, chinelos descartáveis e até mesmo para limpar o quarto. Chegará em cerca de dez minutos.
Há uma dúzia de mesas para você se sentar no saguão e o sorvete tem um preço razoável. Não fique parado na porta esperando o ônibus.
Há seguranças uniformizados no saguão, na entrada. Você precisa passar o cartão na porta antes de usar o elevador. Você só pode acessar o seu andar.
Há uma feira noturna perto do hotel, a 10 minutos a pé da Love Lane, e restaurantes e supermercados não ficam longe.
Lugares ruins, o hotel é antigo, a descarga do vaso sanitário vaza um pouco, a porta do box não fecha direito, mas não chega a vazar água para o chão. O chuveiro na banheira não tem pressão suficiente. Seria muito melhor tomar banho no box.
Há lixo embaixo da cama, poeira na borda da mesa, manchas pretas no papel-toalha e não me atrevi a usar as xícaras. Todo o quarto tem tomadas britânicas de três pinos, não há tomadas de dois pinos para barbeador elétrico no banheiro, a TV só tem sinal de TV, sem Bluetooth.
The location is fantastic, right by two large shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient—just a three to four-minute walk away. While you'll need a taxi to get to the old town attractions, it means the area is much quieter.
There's a Hua Yang restaurant right under the nearby Gurney Plaza, and the wait times are much shorter than in Kuala Lumpur, so I finally got to eat there!
The facilities are a bit lacking and can't compare to five-star hotels in China.
However, the service is excellent, and they even offer a shuttle bus.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing; they start clearing up right on time, and the variety isn't huge.
Overall, the service was very good and proactive.
I stayed on high floor and was able to enjoy a beautiful city view from the room. The room was well-equipped with convenient facilities such as hangers to hang our towels and an LG brand water dispenser where you can choose the temperature you prefer for drinking. Overall, everything was good and comfortable.
The only thing worth mentioning is the parking fee. Every day have to go down lobby redeem the parking but the car park still charges RM9 (we stayed 3d2n), which is something guests may want to take note of.

Surpreendi meu marido com um presente de aniversário durante nossa estadia, e a equipe do hotel tornou tudo ainda mais especial enviando a surpresa de aniversário depois que voltamos da piscina, um gesto muito carinhoso. Meu marido também planejou me surpreender no nosso aniversário de casamento, e embora a decoração de cisne na cama tenha sido colocada depois da nossa chegada, eu realmente apreciei o esforço; foi romântico e tornou o momento inesquecível.
O jantar e o café da manhã estavam absolutamente deliciosos, com grande variedade, ingredientes frescos e uma apresentação impecável. A experiência gastronômica no Restaurante Cinnamon foi ainda melhor graças à calorosa hospitalidade de Nadia, Hidayah e toda a equipe. Um agradecimento especial a Zeyati, nossa funcionária do serviço de quarto, por sua gentileza e atenção aos detalhes, e ao mensageiro que nos ajudou com as malas com tanta eficiência.
Um grande agradecimento aos dois membros incríveis da equipe do Kids Club (desculpem, esqueci o nome deles, mas tenho uma foto). Eles foram muito atenciosos e carinhosos com as crianças. Meus filhos os adoraram, e o carinho deles fez toda a diferença na nossa estadia. Agradecemos muito o esforço e a dedicação deles!
O quarto era limpo e espaçoso, as instalações eram de primeira linha e o acesso à praia foi perfeito para uma escapada relaxante. A hospitalidade demonstrada pela equipe superou as expectativas. Tudo foi excelente e agradeço muito o cuidado e a atenção de todos no PARKROYAL Penang. Com certeza voltaremos!

This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!
Shō Hotel is a fairly new hotel, bear in mind that it’s located in Jelutong and it’s 15 min of driving to Georgetown. It’s situated in a nearby quiet neighbourhood. It has all the facilities, gym, laundry room, swimming pool, bar, and not forget to mention there are 2 EV charging bays in LG basement parking level (40kW each with reasonable price - download Renergy app), free parking, welcome drinks for every day of stay, etc. The room is too spacious till looks empty I might say.
Few complaints I have to highlight:
1. Water pressure isn’t strong enough to cool down my body after a long day walking around Penang.
2. There is unpleasant cleaning detergent smell when opening the room door. Hope the management could do something to improve it.
3. Basement parking can be narrow for bigger car or MPV.
4. The bathroom glass is black, however we still can see the shadow of the person having a dump or taking a shower.
Estadia de fim de semana agradável. O quarto era espaçoso e limpo. A reforma acaba de ser feita e o novo mobiliário tornou o ambiente mais arejado e maior. A pequena deficiência era o novo material da cortina, que era um pouco fino demais e tornava a sala muito iluminada durante o dia, mesmo quando as cortinas estavam totalmente fechadas.
Pude fazer o check-in mais cedo, às 12h30, pela simpática equipe da recepção.
No geral, uma estadia muito satisfatória.
Was greeted by receptionist, Joshua who kindly checked us in. It was around 1:30pm but generally check in time was 3pm. Immediately checking in and being told we would have to leave our luggage in reception storage, he kindly informed us that the room was cleaned but didnt have the towels ready till 2:00pm. He provided the option to go to our rooms immediately and for towels to be dropped off to our rooms once ready. Great first impression!
The building is a heritage building so a 2 ringgit per night fee was paid at reception during check-in. The building is aged (physical appearance, smell) but air conditioning is strong inside the room and even reception area.
They provide bottled water each day during room makeup and a water refill station at lobby reception if you drink a lot of water.
Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.
We had a busy itinerary, which means we arrived back at the hotel late at night. In this case, we had to use the hotel restaurant service. Which, was an excellent idea. For the rest, talking about location, amenities, staff and cleaning, there are no objections. Everything was excellent.

GGuest UserHotel facilities: the best ever in Penang !! Got Kidz game room, our own private pool, gym, karaoke & etc. The breakfast's choice also quite a lot n tasty.
Check in: Got really long queue during weekend, but the staff at counter handled it well.
Staff: Very polite and helpful. Plus the staff at check in counter very thoughtful and give us free upgrade!! so, we got ourselves a whole sea view. So pretty!! Thank you Lexis!!
Location: Very exclusive. However, during peak hour, it kindly hard to exit from the hotel. Should have guard taking care the traffic.
Room: cleanliness 8/10, the bed very clean. it just the private pool area a bit dirty but understandable.
GGuest UserI was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area .
The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this .
Now , I wait for my toe to heal .

1. Hotel Locaiton: Perfect as its not in the city and by the beach, amazing for relaxation. Hotel is surrounded by souvenir shops and street food. 10miute walk from Ferringhi Walk where there is a nice selection of street food but my favourite of all is that its just a 2 minute walk from my favorite restaurant in Malaysia, Ferringhi Garden. Penang trip isnt complete without going to Ferringhi Garden. Its an amazing restaurant with the most beautiful collection of plants, there is no other place like it in Malaysia.
2. The Hotel: Nothing bad to say about it. The design, the decor, everything about this hotel makes me want to stay there even longer. Its such a nice feeling being there. Facilities are clean and complete.
3. The Room: CLEAN. NICE. SPACIOUS. BEAUTIFUL. Every inch of the room is to my liking, i could not have asked for more. Mattress is thick and oh so comfortable. Aircond was cold. Room was very spacious.
4.The Buffet: The room came with breakfast for 2 and it was the perfect buffet to start each day with. Selection was incredible even better than a lot of buffet Ramadan Ive been to. They had everything from selections of breads, to nasi lemak with 12 different sambals, 5 different meat dishes to eat it with, assorted fruits, assorted cheeses, 2 types of porridge with the FULL suites of condiments, salads, pastries, roti canai with all the curries you will ever need, to your above average selection of continental breakfast menus like, beef bacon, beef and chicken sausages, hash browns, deli meats, smoked fish. And there is more! there is a made-to-order menu which many patrons are not aware of. I tried the minute steak and it was good!(pictured below)
PS: Hakimi from breakfast service was spectacular, I requested strawberries for my picky 2 year old and he delivered. On the other hand, ANIS FROM THE OMELETTE STATION WAS RUDE TO MY WIFE, SHE NEEDS TO IMPROVE HER SOCIAL SKILLS(this is my one and only complain)
Overall my stay was 10/10 and this will be the ONLY hotel i will be staying at if when im at Batu Ferringhi. I plan to go to Park Royal Batu Ferringhi Annually, its just that good!
GGuest UserThe hotel environment was clean and comfortable. I especially loved the lobby area, which was perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. The hotel was very thoughtful, as they provided welcome drinks every night, which made the stay feel extra special.
One downside was that the shower was not working properly, and the water flow was uneven. The drainage system was also poor, causing slight flooding in the bathroom while showering. In addition, there was a strong smell coming from the bathroom drain.
However, if these bathroom issues could be improved, the overall experience would be really good and enjoyable.

Service: Very good, though it's a shame they don't allow a slightly later checkout 😂. They require checkout at 11 AM, and by 12 PM, they were already calling us to hurry up and leave. They're quite strict about not allowing late check-outs, probably because rooms are in high demand during peak season.
Environment: Very quiet, you can't hear any motorbike noise, and it's convenient for getting to all the attractions.
GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant 2-night stay at M Social Resort Penang with our family.
What stood out the most was the excellent hospitality and attentiveness of the staff. Prior to our arrival, I had requested connecting rooms, and the hotel had already arranged them accordingly before check-in. It was a small gesture, but it made a big difference to our family's comfort and showed that the team genuinely pays attention to guests' requests.
The resort has a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful sea views, and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help throughout our stay.
A couple of suggestions for improvement: access to the lobby involves a fairly steep staircase, which may be challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The pool area could also benefit from having more lounge chairs, especially during peak periods.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. While there may be newer or more luxurious hotels available, the outstanding hospitality and service at M Social Resort Penang made our experience memorable. We would gladly return in the future.
MMaira176First of all, thanks to the receptionist, concierge, and housekeepers for attending to me during check-in also related staff for being polite. However, I would like to highlight an issue regarding whether it was Trip.com or Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts management that listed rooms not actually available to customers, despite costing thousands and above for one night. Because of this, I had to go back and forth changing rooms.
Additionally, the room itself was different from what was shown; it only had a jacuzzi and a fairly good seaview. Luckily, I only booked one night to see how it was, since the ratings were high. If not for the staff treating me well, I might have given a lower rating than this.
Please ensure that the rooms you advertise are accurate, especially since there is no refund and full payment is required. For improvement, please also address the issue of flies and insects while dining at the restaurants and bar. A five-star resort should be better than any stall.
