My wife and I stayed at this luxurious hotel for two weeks in late-September/early-October. We had booked the hotel/flights/transfers via Voyage Privé (who I would highly recommend) at a very reasonable price, which included British Airways Business Class flights and half-board accommodation. I have travelled on BA Business Class flights for the best part of thirty years. And I am now of the opinion that it’s not worth paying the extra money on short-haul flights, as the level of benefits and feel-good factor one expects when travelling in this class, has drastically declined. The transfer from the airport to the hotel (operated by Cretan Holidays) was pretty straightforward, and when the driver pulled up outside the gates of the hotel, there was already one of the staff waiting to greet us. She introduced herself as Sarah (one of the receptionists), and was always a great help throughout the holiday. The hotel itself is hidden behind a high wall, but once inside it is like an oasis. The process of checking-in was done promptly and efficiently, and Sarah proceeded to give us a very comprehensive amount of information about the hotel. Whilst Sarah was dealing with the administrative matters, another member of the hotel staff (Ioannis) appeared with a tray bearing cold glasses of water, glasses of sparkling wine, cold face towels, and small pieces of oranges dipped in syrup. Everything on the tray was most welcome after our journey. Ioannis proceeded to take our cases and escorted us to our room, which was an Upper Floor Suite (No.325), and he took the time to inform us of all the aspects of the room, including the room safe. In my opinion, the suite we had been allocated was ideal, and probably was the best positioned. As well as being pool facing, its’ position allowed it to benefit from the sun for much of the day. Whereas, many of the suites on the opposite side of the pool to ours, failed to see any of the sun the whole time we were. I have no complaints about the food, as there was always a good selection for breakfast, as well as for the evening meal. I suppose my wife and I have been spoilt for many of the Greek Islands’ holidays we have had in recent years, in that we have enjoyed table service for the evening meal, whilst here it was a buffet restaurant. I’m not sure if everyone staying at the hotel the same time as us was all half-board, but for those that stay bed and breakfast then there are plenty of restaurants nearby to cater for all tastes. We did try The Halfway House one night, it’s only a stone’s throw from the hotel, and I can certainly recommend it. Most evenings there was always entertainment with singers and musicians performing by the pool? Those entertainers that appeared whilst we were there were all of the highest calibre, and we thoroughly enjoyed their performances. First impressions - beautiful, clean apartment in a great area of Tsilivi. Set in lovely surroundings and close to the beach and main street. I was a solo traveller and felt completely safe and secure whilst out and about and in the apartment itself. There is a security fob on the key which allows access to apartments if you arrive late in the night. Great view from the veranda - stunning! The apartment had everything I needed and was spacious and clean. Air con was an added bonus and it was much needed. Overall great value for money. The hosts were so nice and friendly. They were helpful with anything I needed and I appreciated having a point of contact for advice as a lone traveller. I will definitely return to Domus Alta at a later date but stay for longer next time! Thank you, Angela for everything! It meant a lot to me.

This hotel is very good, including dinner, until 10 o'clock in the evening, a lot of trouble. On the way to pick up the car from the car rental agency, the uncle of the car rental agency asked us where we live. After we talked about it, he said ”very good choice”. The hotel is very clean, and across the restaurant is the beach, where the kids are very happy. Recommend friends who bring children to Zha Island to stay. Just listen to the side of the road at the door. The whole Zakynthos feels clean and tidy. This impression starts from the arrival of the airport. The airport is spotless, very new and very clean. This hotel is very cost-effective, and the waiters are also very good. One thing to remind, this hotel’s breakfast, fried eggs and sausages are per capita, and the waiter will come up and ask you what you want to eat after you are seated. You need to know a little English. Choose the same from the options she provides, free of charge. Yes, don’t get me wrong. Ah, I miss the days there.
